KNCV TB Plus

KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation (KNCV TB Plus) is a national and international center of expertise for TB care and prevention, and a medical development organization. During the ASCENT DR-TB project, KNCV TB Plus will be responsible for the overall project coordination and will lead any implementation in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Vietnam and the Philippines. KNCV TB Plus houses the Project Management Unit based in the Netherlands.

PATH

PATH is a global organization that works to accelerate health equity through innovation and partnerships. PATH develops and scales solutions—including vaccines, drugs, devices, diagnostics, and innovative approaches to strengthen health systems worldwide. PATH has been involved in the implementation support for all regimens in Ukraine and is capable of supporting all aspects of the BPaLM cascade of care and roll-out. During the ASCENT DR-TB project, PATH’s focus country is Ukraine.

The Aurum Institute

Aurum, an African-based non-governmental organisation, aims to improve the health of people and communities by strengthening existing health care systems, innovating to improve methods, and conducting research to determine the best ways to eliminate TB and HIV. Aurum is a scientific leader in the field of TB, with a deep understanding of the science as well as the implementation approaches that lead to success. During the ASCENT DR-TB project, Aurum is the main focal partner for South Africa and Mozambique.

Treatment Action Group (TAG)

TAG is a well-known non-profit organization that focuses on advocating for and addressing issues related to research, policy, and treatment for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and hepatitis C. TAG engages in various activities such as policy analysis, advocacy, community mobilization, and education to influence policy decisions and promote better healthcare outcomes for affected individuals. During the ASCENT DR-TB project, TAG will lead the workstream on treatment literacy, community engagement and advocacy within the project.

Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI)

CHAI is a global health organization that envisions a world in which everyone is able to live a healthy and fulfilling life. CHAI operates to save lives and improve health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) by enabling the government and private sector to strengthen and sustain quality health systems. During the ASCENT DR-TB project, CHAI will address access barriers to health products relevant to the DR-TB cascade of care in LMICs identifying, designing, and executing, in coordination with ASCENT DR-TB partners, market shaping opportunities to catalyze the deployment and scale up of priority health products by country programs and implementing partners.
